Bleaker Island
Situated toward the Southeast of East Falkland, Bleaker Island is a small working organic sheep and cattle farm. The Island itself is roughly 12 miles long, 1 mile at its widest and fairly flat making it an ideal location for clients looking for easy walks along the long sandy beaches and to explore on foot and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a rich variety of wildlife in a relatively small area.
Some 8,000 breeding pairs of king cormorants are close to the main settlement whilst in the north of the island (which is a national nature reserve) approximately 3,000 breeding pairs of Gentoos can be found. One of the highlights of the island is the Rockhopper penguin colony; approximately 750 pairs can be found just a short walk away from your accommodation! Long Gulch (lying to the east of the settlement) is bordered with tussac grass which provides a great playground for smaller varieties such as the endemic Cobb’s wren, Grass wren and of course – Tussac birds.
Bleaker Island
Being a long thin island, it has a very extensive coastline that attracts a multitude of wildlife. The island hosts a massive imperial cormorant colony, three types of breeding penguins, wildfowl, and sea lions haul out on the rocks and offshore tussac islands. The wildlife is conveniently located close to the settlement where two of the four houses accommodate visitors. The Big pond provide superb habitat for many other bird species, including both White tufted and Silver grebe and Black necked swans.

Cobbs Cottage
Full board accommodation proved within the farm settlement at the comfortable Cobb’s cottage. Comprising of well sized lounge / dining area, separate kitchen and sun lounge. There is a flat-screen television, DVD player and mini hi-fi along with a trust bar and wi-fi connectivity throughout.

Cassard House
Full board accommodation proved within the farm settlement at the comfortable Cassard House. Large open plan lounge and kitchen, large conservatory/sun room. Facilities include a flat-screen television, DVD player, mini hi-fi a trust bar and wi-fi connectivity throughout.
